  11.    the Messiah; the "two women, with wings like a stork, and the
  12.    wind in their wings," seem emblematical of the Roman armies
  13.    and the rapidity of their conquests; and their lifting up the
  14.    {ephah} and carrying it through the air, to build it a house
  15.    in Shinar or Babylon, where it was fixed on its own basis,
  16.    represents the taking of Jerusalem, the dispersion of the
  17.    Jews, and the long continuance of that calamity, as a just
  18.    punishment of their unbelief.
